07 JULY 2015.

Please note that Bill Shipsey has informed me that Judge Hogan will now deal with the last remaining items in the High Court, namely the clarification of the Costs Order on Monday 13th inst at 10am at the Four Courts. It is a technical matter and I do not think that it is necessary for anyone of you to attend. For the avoidance of any possible doubt about what Judge Hogan says and to assist in drafting the final Cost Orders,  it is probably best to have a stenographer in attendance and I will arrange this. I will forward to you a copy of the transcript and revert to you once the matter is concluded. Hopefully, after the 13th inst Judge Hogan will clarify his Order and we will then be in a position to take up the perfected Court Orders from the Court Registrar.

The hearing to determine the costs of the Dundalk case has been postponed until 3rd March because the Judge is unavailable.
Francis Hyland.

Judge Hogan dealt with the Francis Hyland case, He will give Judgement on the Pat O’Hare/John Hughes’ cases on Friday 6th February. A half-day hearing on costs will take place shortly after that day. He won his case and has been awarded damages. The costs of the case are normally borne by the loser.

Judge Gerard Hogan after finding in his judgement in the High Court for the bookmakers against Dundalk Racecourse has heard 3 of the 33 cases for compensation and costs. The High Court case lasted 22 days in total and seemed never ending. He reserved January 9 2015 for his assessments. The remaining 30 cases will follow on from that date.

The Action against Dundalk Racecourse was heard over seven days in the High Court and Judgement has been Reserved.Judge Gerard Hogan indicated that he hopes to give his findings on 19th February 2014.
